So far no luck in finding a recipe with vanilla frosting. If you are looking for a candy recipe, I suppose you could mix frosting and confectionary sugar until it was a good consistency of dough and then roll out as if rolling pie crust. Spread peanut butter over the rolled out mixture and roll into roll. Wrap in wax paper and freeze or refrigerate. Cut into pieces when set.

This is what I found

Peanut Butter Pinwheels

1 lb box confectionary sugar
1 tsp vanilla
milk (a little)
? lb butter
smooth peanut butter

Mix sugar, vanilla and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Add a little milk if needed. Mix until smooth (consistency of dough). Roll out as if rolling pie crust. Spread peanut butter over the rolled out mixture and roll into roll. Wrap in wax paper and freeze or refrigerate. Cut into pieces when set.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
