Question: Yes it does. You can also baste the turkey. I've had good luck taking about three cans of chicken broth and putting it in the bottom of the roasting pan with the turkey on a rack. Use a bulb baster to suck up some of that broth/pan drippings and give the turkey a shower every half an hour or so. I usually baste mine every 15 minutes (which some people say is overkill) but I've never had a dry turkey.
