Every time I make jell-o it gets hard on the top.?!
Answers: What am I doing wrong? I can't find the answer anywhere on the net, not even kraft food who make the darn stuff! I can't be the only one with this problem.
I know that if I don't mix the jello powder throughly, it gets hard. Make sure that the powder is completely dissolved before you add the cold water!
Also, cover the top of the container with plastic wrap so it doesn't dry out.
Hope that helps!!!
You have to mix the hell out of it until all of the granules are gone...the "hard" stuff is just really concentrated jello. Also, make sure you use truly boiling water and ice cold water...good luck!
Happy Turkey Day!
Let it cool down, before refrigerating!
try covering it with saran wrap before you put it in the fridge
Are you certain you're using boiling water then ice cold water??? Make sure you stir the jello until completely disolved in the hot water THEN add the cold and continue stirring.... Best wishes! and a happy and safe holiday!
stir the jello until completely disolved in the hot water
make sure the powder is totally disolved
You need to cover it before refridgerating it.
