How do you make steak?!

Question: I'm a purist. Wash steaks. Pat dry with paper towel. Salt and pepper well.
.
Broil for 5 minutes turn, broil the other side 5 minutes. Repeat. Each side gets cooked twice only.
.
Precise timing in important. Depending on your broiler you might reduce the timing to 4 minutes.

I like garlic salt and pepper sprinkled on it and butter drizzled then either grill it or broil it. roughly 5 mins per side then slice the middle the check the doneness you prefer.

Easy, put it on a George Forman Grill.
Add Mushrooms, Onions, Enjoy!

Grill in summer.
Broiler of your stove in winter.

I've been a vegetarian a long time, but I cook for my friends...steak is the only animal food I miss.

I hardly cook it. I do it on the stove, with just olive oil and garlic in a pan, until it's as done as each person wants. Make sure you get good quality meat.

For myself, I use portabello mushrooms, cooked just the same.

If you can grill it many recipes recommend grilling steak over a direct-medium fire (350°F to 375°F) on a covered grill. For grilling times you might want to try the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com. Enter the details about each steak (cut, thickness, doneness you want) and it will give you instructions for when to put on and turn each steak so that they all come off the grill at the same time, cooked the way you want them. It also has grilling tips.

Always allow your steaks to stand at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before grilling, and let them rest for 5 minutes after grilling to keep them nice and juicy.

Also, we like to season our steaks with a little salt and fresh ground pepper, and coat them lightly with either olive oil or Pam for Grilling. This helps with searing and also helps to keep them from sticking to the grill.

Hope this helps.
