How long do you cook your turkey per pound?!

Question: I usually cook my turkey at 375 for about 20 minutes per pound.

Answers: I usually cook my turkey at 375 for about 20 minutes per pound.

Unstuffed, roasted: 16 minutes per pound at 325 F.
Stuffed, roasted: 20 minutes per pound at 325 F.
Either way, I make sure I allow the bird to rest 20-30 minutes before carving. Gives the meat tissues time to relax and results in less 'chewy' or 'stringy' meat.

That is the recommended cooking instructions. Only 3 hurdles remain for those inexperienced. 1 - preheat the oven, each time you open the door to the oven will add ten minutes. 2 - make sure it was not frozen, if so you should already be thawing. 3- take the bag of gibblets out of it. Happy Thanksgiving.
