You obviously aren't Native American...once you've eaten blood soup and realize there is actual blood in it...giblet gravy is no big deal at all.
Just try to think of it this way, it would be wrong to have killed that poor turkey just to waste a perfectly good piece of meat from it.

Only if you think soup is "gross" It all starts with broth or stock.
Gravy just has flour added to thicken.

Gravy is NOT made with turkey guts as you put it.
It's made from the juices of the turkey cooking and gravy is wonderful.

They are not made out of the guts. They are made from the throat.

Gravy is made from the pan dripping (with the fat removed) and flour is a thickening agent. It's cooked on the stove until it achieves a boil. At that point, the gravy thickens. I wouldn't say gravy is gross. Maybe if it's lumpy because the flour clumps up, then I'd agree with you.

No, but then again, not all gravy is flavored with turkey "guts" as you put it. So don't worry, you can make it however you like. Happy Holidays!

Gravy is made from the juices, pan drippings, from the turkey. Some have the giblets added. These are the liver, heart and gizzard, organs not guts. We gave the guts to the dogs. As you grow older you will get brave enough to try things that you now probably think would be gross. Such as oysters on the half shell, raw oysters. Calamari, squid. Sweetbreads are delicious, the Thymus gland from a cow. Fried cow brains are great. Sushi, raw fish.
Don't miss out by not trying something new. If you don't like it don't do it again.
