Do you know of any good family meals that can be cooked in a microwave??!


Question: My oven is on the blink and gas hob is playing up too so im stuck using the microwave at the mo....i need to feed a family of 4...(2 children) using as much variety as possible as they get bored easily and using only a microwave xx Thanks in advance xx

God you have the perfect excuse for living on takeaways use it lady!!!...in fact I've heard you make a mean cheese and ham toastie stick a tomato in and its a well balanced meal! xxx

you get make a treacle sponge for pudding! my mum used to always do that! its in the bero book or look online for recipes! yummy!

Try those Birds Eye Turkey or Chicken Dinner meals in a box. If you cook them a bit longer than the packet says, they come out nice and crispy :)

there is this really good tyson beef stuff that you cook in the microwave that is said to feed up to a family of 4 its really good ive cooked it one for my family and they loved it! un less your a vegitarian!

Spaghetti, Quesadillas, Bean Burritos, Soup, Mac N' Cheese, Garlic Bread, Rolls, French Dip, Canned Veggies, and Hot Ham and Cheese on Bagels!

You'll like this, I call it 'Chicken Ping'.

Get a chicken, put it in, turn it on for 30 minutes. When it goes 'ping', it's done.

MICROWAVE DEEP DISH CHICKEN BURRITOS

1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, drained
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 cans chunk chicken, drained
8 flour tortillas
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 c. shredded lettuce
2 tomatoes, diced
1 sm. ripe avocado, peeled, seeded and diced (optional)

In 1-quart microwave casserole, combine canned tomatoes, garlic, chili powder, cocoa powder and cinnamon. Cook on high 2 or 3 minutes. Add chicken, break up with a fork. Cook covered with wax paper on high 2 to 4 minutes, stir well.
Place 2 tortillas at a time between 2 sheets of paper towel, heat on high 30 seconds. Spoon 1/4 cup chicken mixture down center of each tortilla, roll tightly.

Place rolled tortillas in microwave baking dish; spread grated cheese on top. Cook covered with wax paper on medium power. Top with lettuce and tomatoes and avocado.

Chicken Parmesan
8 oz. chicken with skin and bones

1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp. Italian bread crumbs



Wash chicken and drain on paper towel. Put cheese and bread crumbs on a 12-inch piece of waxed paper. Roll chicken in mixture until coated. Place chicken skin side down in Menu-ette Skillet. Cover skillet with paper towel. Cook 2:00 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Turn chicken over and sprinkle any remaining crumb mixture over chicken. Cover skillet with paper towel. Cook 2:20 minutes (_____) at 100% power. Let stand 2 minutes. Serve in skillet.


NOTE: Cooking times are for a 700-watt oven.

frozen sachets of steamed veg with fresh jacket potatoe

waffles and beans

omlets with salad (you can buy a plasic omlete case to do you omlete in)

frozen steamed veg with gravey amd micro chips

jacket potatoe and beans

fish in butter sauce with veg and jacket potatoe

any way, just a few ideas hope this helps.
