For my 13th, I had a hollywood themed party which was amazing!
Was at night, had a lil red carpet, got dad to to take pix, as they went up it, had everyone dress up as their fave celebrity, got lil bro to do interviews while we video recorded it and played it back later in the night, played singstar/karaoke, played stick the nose on michael jackson, celebrity heads, bought cheap plastic martini glasses for the affect that we were grown ups drinking martinis...

Was great fun!
I'm sure that this would go down great as it worked for me... Also, not too expensive, rather cheap!

...Could do a "Hawaiian" theme......If you live in a cold climate area, even better. ..........Make cups out of pineapples...and have "cocktails".............have the kids wear something hawaiian".............put a "lay"..(spell check on that word!)..on them...etc.....
I had a friend who's kid did this at 14yrs old, and they had a lot of fun.....Very creative...........It was like an adult party for kids.......
happy birthday...

My sister is 12. I think she would prefer to go to the cinema with her friend's than have a party. Maybe have a movie themed night where your friend's dress up as movie stars and you all watch a movie with popcorn, soda, hot dogs etc.

If not, just get some good music, ask your mum to make some non alcoholic sangria and punch and do some snacks.

Darkened room/disco lights/snacks in modern fancy dress...pop stars/film stars, etc. Then perhaps let boys go home and ger a trendy flick like Hairspray and let girls chill with a special buffet/cocktails(non-alc) followed by a sleep over for a couple of best friends. Did this last year (minus the boys) and it was great.
