Birthday invitation help please!?!
Thanks so much for your help!
Answers: This is a dumb question but i m having my sweet 16 in a few weeks. On the outside of the card it says " and invitation" then it says 'for' in the inside. In that blank do I write the persons name i am inviting or do I write my name since the party is for me? Then in one of the blanks it says 'hosted by', is it better to write my name because its hosted by me or do I write "mom and dad"? This is my first party so these questions are pretty weard. Both my prents keep telling me different awnsers so I don't know what to put.
Thanks so much for your help!
i know exactly what u r tlkin about cause i just did invites for my fiancees bday party if it says "for" that would be you and the occasion, so it would mean "your name" example would be "highballers 25th birthday party" for example, next it should go onto say address, phone # etc, this is your info cause ppl need to know who and what they are attending, they already know their own name, and if you have given it/mailed it, it should say their name on the outside. i know it is tricky, but this is the correct answer also whoever is actually going to host that is whoever is responsible for all the plannnig the party and who the person should contact for rsvp should have their name as the host of this party
For - the guest.
Hosted by - you.
Well I think since its your party u shuld be makin all the decisions and ur parents should just be paying for it. And to answer yur question u shuld put the person ur inviting to ur party in the "for" part and were it says "hosted by" u shuld put ur parents name, because they are paying 4 it. But still to let them now its ur party make them put your name in BIG LETTERS in front of the invitation. ;D
An invitation for...... (persons name) then hosted by is your name. :) Even if it's hosted by your parents, it's still your party.
doesn't sound dumb to me. i have no idea! so good luck finding out! and have a wonderful sweet sixteen.
i can't wait till mine!
i have a couple years though
definition of a host: 1. a person who receives or entertains guests at home or elsewhere: the host at a theater party.
2. a master of ceremonies, moderator, or interviewer for a television or radio program. I hope that helps, and also I don't think the questions are weird! If you don't know, why not find out!
