What do you do after a dinner party??!
Answers: I'm arranging a dinner party with some friends but i have no idea what to serve them afterwards?? food wise?? Any ideas?? Also what sorts of things do people like to do afterwards?? Games, music i dunno?? Please help!!
When you say afterwards I take it you do not mean pudding?
If you are talking about pudding, get some ice cream, most people like it and you do not have to spend time cooking it. Also it is easier for those who do not want pudding to say no thank you.
If you want to serve something after pudding you could get a selection of crisps, nuts and chocolate, that way people can help themselves.
What you end up doing after dinner depends very much on your guests. In our house we generally just talk and drink the night away. Some people will leave soon after dinner as they have kids to go home to. If you do end up playing a game choose a game that does not go on for ever.
One thing though, make sure you know if there are vegetarians coming to dinner and ask everyone if there is anything specific they do not like.
Do not worry about your dinner party too much as everyone generally appreciates being invited to someone`s house for dinner.
Go home
Play a board game...great fun.
Serve desert, coffee.. maybe fun alcoholic coffee drinks... and usually, my friends and I just sit around and chat.
Turn on some quiet background music so it's not too eerilly quiet until you get into a fun topic.
You can go the game route.. just keep it fun..
NO ONE LIKES MONOPOLY.. or going home angry because of monopoly, haha.
undo your trouser button and trump hahaha erm i tend to play some light music and all sit and natter..in a group, conversation will flow and people like to chat
throw all your keys into a salad bowl and then pair off,
food wise, =alcohol
games, = depends on how many people
twister is always a winner
music , just chilled out , relaxing stuff, look for a compilation of easy listening etc
i usually go for a crap after a large meal.
When the hostess (usually me) starts clearing plates, people move to the living room, have coffee, and they don't just sit, they admire art, chit chat, and then they usually set the cup down and say "Oh, it's time to go. We had a great time." As soon as people see someone cleaning up, that's their clue.
lool well my parents usually after a dinner party they just chat have fun and make each other laugh you could play games like pictionary etc then yuo could make tea for every one and serve it with biscuit or chocolate and maybe after eights there nice
Have a Cognac and a good cigar!
You will keep a good atmosphere if you stay at the table. So I would:
Create a really good cheeseboard with fine cheddar, blues and brie's.With a few shelled walnut's and grapes to decorate. Not too loud background music. Fine wine and lots of chat about anything and everything, keep it fun and I hope you have lots of it.
Keep it informal.........ENJOY......xxx
Play naked oiled twister
