Ham or Goose?!

Question: I wanted to try to fix a goose for Christmas this year along with our family's traditional ham. However, my mom tells me it's not a very good meat and that it's very very greasy. What's your experience with a traditional goose dinner for Christmas?

I love goose! It does have a thick layer of fat - similar to duck - but I love the flavor of the meat and the rendered fat is so good with potatoes. Anyway it can't hurt to try it, just make both so if you don't like it you can just all eat the ham.

you cant go wrong with ham..

Ham is delicious....

Goose is very greasy.Ham is an all around winner when it comes to family.Personally never cooked it but had some from a family member.

No goose. Ham all the way! Specifically honey baked ham!

well i would go with ham. or turkey even. it tastes really good i love it. i dont know where you would even get a goose from??? :)
