What's the best festive dinner party ?!

Question: I'm planning a festive dinner party just after Christmas. This includes foie gras for starters, canard à l'orange (orange duck) for main course garnished with glazed chestnuts, brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. Do you think this is a good combination ? If yes, what shall I serve for wine ? If not ...any suggestions ?

Hi Anastasia,
what you are planning is haute cuisine - very good! You can serve that dinner, indeed! I would come, if I lived close to you (but alas I live in the cold north - Denmark!), and I think your guests will love it. By the way, what's for desert?
Best of luck - Tom

By the way , Tom ....The dessert is Crêpes Suzettes but my husband will make them! Report It
