Food for an 80's themed party...?!

Question: So I'm throwing a small (5 people including me) girls-night-in party, with an 80's theme. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for food...something from the 80's or something renamed to sound like an 80's movie/song like "Breakfast Club Sandwiches". Other than those the only thing I can think of is fondue, which we will be having chocolate fondue for dessert :)
Any tips about games or fun ideas would be great too :) Thanks.

Fondue is very seventies..Go with decadent finger food..excess is key for any 80's party.

80's games- twister, magic 8 ball, battleship, weejie board, clue.
80's foods- 7 layer dip, frozen choc. bananas, frito pie.

Hmm...

I lived through the 80's both in college and then working 3rd shift. I don't think I actually ate anything during those years.

Diet Coke! Diet Coke was being test marketed at some colleges around the country including Boston College where I was. That would have been in '80-'81.

Cheese wizz
Cheese puffs
Fruit Roll ups
Kool Aid

Fried chicken
mashed potato and gravy
meatloaf
peas/corn/carrot
sponge cake
sandwiches
pavalova
sausages
cocktails
beer
wine

"Trivial Persuit" treasure hunt around neighborhood.

Reese's Pieces! I think Teddy Grahams. Salads were really popular; all the girls ate salad. And that water... um...you know, a fancy club soda Perrier! That's it! Hm... those jello things mixed with some kind of alcohol, Jello shooters?

Maybe Punch... or Potatoe Chips..
I hope I could help!

get drunk on stupid mixed drinks like Sex on the Beach and jello shots and take everyone to the Waffle house....

Sweedish Meatballs and Donna Summer Music

You already have lots of great ideas, but no one seems to have input on the Tangtini you described. I, for one, think it sounds really yummy. You might try substituting vanilla stoli for the rum, creating more a creamsicle flavor.

have fun!

Fig Newtons and Twinkies!

I did tang and vodka back in the 80's...but it was while on a 3 day hiking trip so it was the only two things I had to mix. It was ok while in the wilderness, but I think not so good for a party. I would recommend something different.
