Would it be possible to make a paper tablecloth?!
i know this sounds complicated but the shapes go with my theme. i don't want a plain tablecloth. i'm using the table as a buffett because there will be a LOT of ppl there.
Answers: i'm hosting xmas dinner. i wanted to make a table cloth of paper because i wanted to do either angel or snowflake cut outs connected. it'd be hard or expensive to find a real tablecloth in that design. i know it'd be hard to find a huge piece of paper, but i was thinking of either gluing, stapeling or somehow connecting medium pieces of paper.

I did one way back in my School days in Art Class Collage.
It was sprayed with clear lacquer so that if any got spilled on it then it could be wiped off! I was staying at my uncles place
and my brother forgot to shut off the Rangette.. It over heated and burned down the place. so no longer have the table paper table cover I made! You can get a huge roll of paper from most any Newspaper company Or News print paper manufacturing company! Mine was a Halloween Theme!
If it's possible to make "Paper Mario" then why not?
Yes, but buy a paper table cloth or two (you can get them at Target) and cur or punch out the shapes. Happy hosting.
How about using a plain white paper or plastic tablecloth - then covering it with your snowflake designs. You could glue them down, even sprinkle glitter on it - it will be beautiful.
I like your creativity!
If you want a cool tablecloth that looks of snow that's cheap enough to be disposable, try shopping at your local fabric and crafts store, like JoAnn's or Michael's. In the upholstery/fabric department, look for sheets of polyester fiber fill - the stuff you might use inside a cushion or pillow. It has great texture, looks a lot like snow (but spinkle glitter on top for an extra touch), and is cheap enough that you can just wad it up after the party and throw it away.
Less money, less labor, super cool look.
(I'm doing this exact same thing for a client's dinner party next Tuesday night - and can direct you to some pictures after the event, if you'd like.)
Forget putting pieces of paper together. There's paper table clothes available for cheap. Look around or call K-Mart, Wal-Mart, I've seen them in Discount Drug Mart. They're usually located in the section with paper plates, plastic silverware, that kind of stuff. Just buy a pack or two and have fun decorating.
