I used to buy a sponge roll each for the children and let them decorate them . One would be white and snowy looking and another would look like a log with chocolate icing. Add a couple of little snowmen and fir trees and the words'Happy Christmas'. serve it up with a vienetta/carte d'or ice cream -nice change
I know you don't like Kerry Katona much, but, if you pop into Iceland, they've got some delicious ,frozen ,fancy mini ice creams, desserts and cakes

Thanx 4 the vote ! Now that's you with my pudding and Gartom with my home-made Baileys ! Report It

Hot cocoa with peppermint flavoring and Chrismas cut out sugar cookies or gingerbread cookies; small gingerbread houses you can make ahead with the kids; red and green jello cut out with Chrismas cookie cutters and served with Cool Whip or whipped cream; pretzels, dipped in red and green chocolate (go to Michael's or another craft store to find the colored melties), or peppermint sticks dipped in dark and white chocolate; popcorn balls made with a hint of peppermint flavoring in the syrup, then rolled in chocolate; mini peppermint cheese cakes...the list goes on! Good luck & Merry Christmas!
