Honestly, I might skip the idea of trying to serve food that looks like eyelashes - something a bit unappetizing about that.

Instead, go ahead and serve your Western inspired fare, but decorate everything with large black ostrich feathers (www.ostrish.com). The feathers are sexy, and mimic the sexiness of long and lush eyelashes.

You can purchase inexpensive chargers from a store like Hobby Lobby in silver, gold, red, and black leaf, then attach the feathers to the underside so that they stick out from under the platter. Serve the food on those.

Also, one of the girls in my office is getting married in June, and she is going for a swanky lounge look for her reception, which includes tall centerpieces made of - you guessed it - feathers.

At another event that I did, a fundraiser, we sold western hats that were embellished with feather boas and faux jewels. Very popular, very sparkly, very feminine. Feathers overall are very sexy, and I think will help you communicate what you want in the launch without having to resort to serving squid-ink-died spaghetti - which more closely resembles worms than eyelashes.

How about Black spaghetti?? (Spaghetti with added squid ink)

mussels..try and source a drink that comes in a black bottle, not black tower perhaps.....ask a wine merchant.

Dark chocolate truffles for desert...a few rolled in white dot sprinkles. Black licorice bouquets....I'm trying here!

You need a miracle mind at work for you girl friend...

My mind is blank

HOtttttttttttt Dogggggggg
