That sounds like a cute idea. You could go and try to find some stuffed monkeys and maybe some materials to make trees on the walls and attach the monkeys to them. Make a banana cake or monkey bread for desserts. Try to find some jungle music to play. You could get some bananas and decorate the cake table with them, maybe some banana leaves as well. You could play pin the tail on the monkey. Have the kids play tag like monkeys. Get craft supplies so the kids can make their own monkey pictures. Have yellow plates and napkins to go with banana colors. Get stuff to make banana splits. I hope some of those ideas help. Have a great time.

bananas!

there are tons of monkey items at the party store as well as jungle items which is what i would focus on. monkey and jungle things. make your own banana splits for dessert sound like a cute idea and incorporate the monkey theme. you could have a themed cake they could add a piece to. this would be a great party to incorporate healthier snacks like mango, papaya and other jungle type fruits. maybe some pineapple on their burgers or in a marinade for chicken.

Wow, what a random topic for parties lol.

Ummm...you shuld try getting a banana or monkey face shaped cake :D

Then try to get bananas and jungle looking decorations all around the place. Make the place look a jungle like and crazy wild decorations!

Good luck and wish em' Happy Birthday! :DDD

You have to have chocolate nut covered frozen banana's

Here is the recipe and other kid fun recipes as well

I would go with Jungle theme decor. For food you could serve make your own banana splits or monkey bread.

Monkey bread:
4 cans of buttermilk biscuits (pillsbury)cut them into quarters and roll the pieces into a cinamon sugar mixture Place in cooking pan of choice Melt one cup of butter and one cup of brown sugar, one cup of ice cream any flavor Pour over the biscuits Place in oven and cook at 375 until cooked. You may one to mix in raisins or nuts before cooking or on top. Eat by pulling the bread apart with your hands.

Play some silly games like who can eat a banana and then whistle fastest. Or Hold a banana between your chin and chest and past it in a circle. Whoever drops it first is out.
Have fun. Happy Birthday.

how about a monkey pinata hanging from a tree & a long skinny banana as the stick?

Get rolls of green crepe paper draped all over like vines & staple leaves on it (maybe leaves can have clues for a treasure hunt?)

Have someone doing facepainting of jungle animals. If too old or not cool to do whole face just do little/mini pics on their cheeks.

have all the kids act out their best monkey skills. see if you can find some posters of monkeys to hang up, i like the green streamer idea to make it look like a jungle- have them EVERYWHERE hanging down all over the place! maybe a fogger machine to make it seem a little more junglish? have a jungle sound CD going.
