16th birthday ideas?!

Question: Its my daughters 16th birthday and I would like to throw her a birthday bash. One problem I know she doesn't want it to be a childish party and such. So? What can I do for it? Its this Saturday tyhe "surprise" party. I would really like to know some good recipes.. ideas...games...
Also, she will be having boys over, should I be downsrairs with them at all times. Just in case, or give them some room?
I NEED IDEAS mostly tho!

or just ask some friend of hers what she likes..and for the friends give space but still keep an eye on them. After all boys+girls= trouble
