Need some ideas for a party that I'm having for my daughter and friends?!
Answers: My daughter is 4 1/2 and I want to throw a party for her and her friends. There will be 30-50 kids ages 3-8. I need ideas for everything-food, entertainment, games, Etc. We are planning on renting a bounce house for them. Other than that I don't know. The one with the best ideas gets the points. Thanks
My friend just had a party for her 5 year old son, and it was really fun! They had the bounce house, and for food, they did all foods that kids loved, buffet style. A small table with hot dogs kept warm in a crock pot, & buns, then the next table had baskets with different 'sides' for them to choose from - bags of chips, jello, goldfish, cut veggies, etc. The parents helped assemble the hot dogs, and the kids loved choosing their own 'sides'.
And for the cake, how about cupcakes? That way you can just pass them out and not have to worry about slicing 50 pieces of cake.
For entertainment, since there's a lot of kids, you might want to hire an entertainer who can get them to sit still for a few minutes - I saw a magic show once, and the magician did balloon animals for each kid after the show. The kids loved that.
Have fun!
I'm not sure, but if you want them to have nice teeth, you should watch this.

You should see about renting a cotton candy machine or sno cone machine too. Those were a huge hit at my son's party along with the bounce house. We also set up outdoor bowling, set out some frisbees, coloring book station, and craft station and twister. We didnt really set up any structured activities as the kids were too small and have a short attention span.
Good Luck!
one idea on food is to make sandwiches for the little kids. to save up money you might want to cut the sandwiches in half. Another suggestion is that you can make hot dogs and cut them also in half.
For entertainment and games, you can buy a pinata and goodie bags. you can also play musical chairs.
The bouncing will make them very tired so have lots of juice/pop/water on hand. With that many kids you may want to have a few games going on at once to meet everyone's needs. The bounce things will probably keep the attention for a while then try things like tag, twister, pin the tail, put a short movie on, or hide and seek. For food I would say have pizza and chicken fingers (in case they don't like pizza), cake/ice cream or cupcakes. Hope the party goes well.
"Make It" A party.
Get some little craft kits, and let them "make" their take home gifts. (I'm talking the oriental trading company where you get 12 for $5)
let them decorate cupckes (instead of birthday cake)
a sundae bar,
they can "make" their own lunchables
Hi,
I will suggest to play pin on the donkey. Just get a big Party Movil figure of the theme you have the party. It will decorate and later on you can use for the game.
You can find Theme movil figures here , check them out

For the food, I think the buffet style kid friendly serving is great. I'd skip chips and have fruits(most little guys/girls will eat apples, bananas, grapes), veggies(baby carrots, celery sticks in the form of ants on a log, broccoli florets), and cubed or string cheese though. Cupcakes would be easier for serving than sheet cake and ice cream bars or dixie cups if you're going to have it. You could have a family cake the night before or after if anyone feels she'd miss it. If milk is an option for a drink, contact the local school or dairy and see if you can get a couple crates of the half-pints.
Entertainment:
If other parents are helping, a puppet show might be fun for kids that age.
Has anyone in your circle of friends ever been a clown? Enlist their help.
If you live in a city, you could ask if a prevention character would be available to visit, whether it's McGruff, Fireman Freddy, Pete the Policeman, or whomever.
Games:
Bean bag hopscotch.
Jump roping.
Sack races.
A cake walk to get the cupcakes. Have the rule that once you've won, others get their chance.
A pinata with trinkets.
Nerf ball games.
Tug of war.
Pin the tail on whoever her favourite character is.
Gray duck.
Musical chairs.
Tag.
Quieter activities may include a couple of card tables or a picnic table with colouring books, drawing paper, washable markers, yarn and plastic beads to make necklaces or bracelets.
If you've a sand box or dirt area, some cars or trucks to play with.
With that age range, I'd try to have an area that can be used in case anyone needs a nap, too.
And make sure the first aid kit is stocked well. That many children having fun is bound to result in a skinned knee or two!
