Answers: A drunken elf;-)

go as a fancy dress shop owner.

do a theme, or go halloween gear it certainly different,

Naked, with lipstick and a mouthful of custard - Go as a Zit.

try going as Mrs Christmas - you'll certainly get noticed

Watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, then go as Hunter S Thompson, easy outfit, and you get to act like a total loon all night!

do a tiny tim theme ask everyone to dress like they are poor and homeless

cuddly animal with wings on !

get a mate and go as rudolph in one of those pantomime horse costumes. easily adapted to a reindeer by adding antlers.

Andy Pitkin from Little Britain "I want that one"

How about going as "The Grinch"?
or a raindeer, or a dark angel.

Go with something you've never worn before. Do spakles, colors. Pretty colors, like red, blue, or purple. Try strapless or a halter. Go with either knee length or floor length, slender or poofy. Just some ideas!

Get 2 big squres of cardboard, make a sandwich board out of them, draw a postage stamp on each side and go as a "first class male".

That swan dress thing that Bjork wore once was certainly "different."

Wear some scrubby clothes, and carry a cardboard sign that says, "Will draw for food." Add some stick-figure sketches to the sign (or real sketches if you actually draw). You're a starving artist.

Do a "Trig" from "Only fools ...."

Put your "Hatch, Match and Despatch" suit on and go as an "Undertaker"

Get one of those white protective suits people with dirty jobs use, accessorise with a fake geiger counter (cornflake box & sticky back plastic) and go as a Nuclear Scientist.

Go as a mobile phone.

I got one of ebay for real cheap.
