Anyone else planning a Christmas Cookie making party?!
Thanks so much!
Answers: I've invited four friends with a total of nine children, who would make cookies with our two children. I said everyone should bring a big container of their favorite dough, and we'll all share and have a good old time. I'd like to invite another friend who has two children, but my husband thinks that's too many people as it is. We have a pretty good sized dining room with a big table, and I think the more the merrier. How many people/children do you all have over when you plan one? Do you make a big thing of chili or get Papa Murphy pizzas or something else (has to be lots and reasonably cheap) for everyone to eat?
Thanks so much!
I never had one, but I have gone to two of them. The hostess invited several people and asked each of us to bring 2 dozen cookies.
Once we were there we had a "best in presentation" contest and who ever won was given a small prize by the hostess. We exchanged recipes and snacked on the cookies that were brought in. I believe the hostess provided milk and icecream and some other light snacks. We all got to take cookies and new recipes home!
The hostess didn't really have a big mess to clean up after, -I thinkt that was a good way to go.
If it was me i'd have them each bake 2 dozen or so cookies at home and then bring them over to your house. Then you could invite say a dozen people and each take home 2 dozen cookies. The kids could pick out the ones they like. This would save alot of mess during the busy holiday season. And you would have more time to visit instead of cleaning up.
