Easy, quik recipe....?!


Question: For a meal to feed to 2 children (2yrs & 6yrs) who have upset tummies! youngest one has the 'runs' still, but needs to eat, I've been told to feed them bland foods, as little dairy as possible, no tomato or citrus foods! That makes life really hard, especially since my oven is not working! Please can somebody give me some ideas!

I heard plain scrambled eggs are easy to digest. Soup, or broth. Maybe oatmeal or malt-o-meal, cream of wheat & such. Toast, no butter. Water to combat the dehydration caused by the runs...

I hope they feel better!

N for Noodles within 2 min get ready.........

applesauce
fish for protein
bread or brown rice

Definitely toast, but also a banana to replenish potassium & help stop the runs.

1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup canned or cooked fruits without skins or seeds
1/2 cup mild juices, such as apple, grape, and pear
1/2 of a 9 inch banana or 1 small (5 inch) banana 1/2 cup cream of wheat
1/2 cup cooked white rice
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup cooked pasta, noodles, or macaroni
6 small (2 inch square) saltine crackers
1 slice white bread
1 medium size (2-1/2 inch) roll or bun
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (equals 1 ounce of meat)
1 large egg (equals 1 ounce of meat)
1 cup of a casserole made from foods listed in this diet (equals 2 to 3 ounces of meat)
Fish, turkey, chicken, or other meat that is not tough or stringy
1/2 cup tofu or other bland soy products (equals 1 ounce of meat)
chicken noodle soup
chicken with stars
mashed potatoes with cheese
applesauce
sorbet
frozen kool aid or frozen pedialyte
JELLO POPSICLES

1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello, any flavor
1 pkg. Kool-Aid, any flavor
1 c. sugar
2 c. boiling water
2 c. cold water

Dissolve Jello, Kool-Aid and sugar in the boiling water. Add the cold water and stir well. Pour into Popcicle molds or ice cube trays. Freeze partially, add sticks and freeze until firm, about 2 to 3 hours. You can make in Dixie cups too! Makes about 2 dozen
