I'd say a caesar salad, house salad, veggies n' dip, apples and caramel.

Bread

Salad Nicoise

Veggie plate with celery, grape tomatoes, carrots, broccoli and veggie dip

My mother used to bring her homemade pot pie. Potato dishes do well too.,

Fried chicken

italian meatballs/swedish meatballs. anything that doesn't have mayo in it or something that will spoil if left out two long. you could always go with a cheese dish/platter or fruit salad.

try a garden salad, or a tuna n mac salad

I would take a tray of home made deviled eggs and or a potato salad with deviled eggs on top of it.

taco salad, you can make it with meat or without. Works for all.

I dont know why, but I wouldnt bring a salad. I would bring baked ziti or something you can make a lot of thats not very expensive. Like a big tray of homemade macaroni and cheese. A casserole something like that. If that doesnt appeal to you, what about a nice spinach dip. You can take a bread scoop out the middle and put spinach dip inside the bread like a bowl. You can take the part of the bread you cut out and make squares out of it and have them dip it in the bread. You could also bring a vegtable tray or a cheese tray. Good luck!

grape jelly meatballs or sweet and sour kielbasa in a crock pot...people LOVE those things!

Hum... Something that can sit out on a table in a heated (Dry and prob warm) room for a while...

A bread bowl with a cheese dip might work...

If you make a rice salad out of short grain rice (Doesn't turn hard when cold) you can dress it with a nice citruse vinigerette.

Pizza Salad:
-----------
Cook 1 lb. pasta of your choice, rinse and drain.
Add:
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup chopped pepperoni
3/4 cup halved grape or cherry tomatoes
make your own olive oil vinaigrette with Italian herbs, OR
use bottled salad dressing

optional: add other pizza-type toppings. It's good with added onions and peppers, too
