Work party on Saturday, what to bring?!

Question: I have a Christmas party at my boss's house on Saturday and we're all supposed to bring something. Well, they're not as organized as I am so no one is making a list. All I know is that my immediate supervisor is bringing a cheeseball with crackers (when I say at the boss's house... I mean the president of the company, I work with just females. lol). Anyhoot, I don't want to bake anything because I'm really a horrible cook and it'd be a waste of money for me to make something I'll just end up tossing. I can cook things that are REALLY simple. lol (like you just warm it up simple. haha). Do you have any ideas of what to bring to the party? It can be made or store-bought.

Thanks in advance :-)

Crock Pot

Couple of packages of Li'l Smokies.
Bottle of BBQ Sauce.

If there is an option for plates and utensils. Potato Salad. It's very popular. Otherwise a small veggie, meat or fruit tray. They run out fast so if someone else brings one no big deal.

you can't go wrong with beverages. is this a soda and juice crowd or a wine and spirits crowd? if you know that, you can figure out something appropriate to bring. maybe a little of each.

bring a tray of sushi already made or
cheesecake from the cheesecake factory
or any cookies from the store or bakery

A nice fruit and cheese tray. Anyone can put one together, or they're often available at the deli counter of the supermarket.

a shrimp ring never fails, that or a fruit tray with yogurt. Anything on a tray is always a huge success!!

Simple, easy and elegant...

Buy a package or two of frozen shrimp and a bottle of cocktail sauce. Buy the jumbo size shrimp. Just defrost and arrange neatly on a plate and yum!

Hope this helps. Enjoy the party!

well if u dont want to bake get store bought christmas cookie or cupcakes

Here is a goat cheese spread that goes well with French baguette slices. Works very well for me and requires minimal effort.

French Goat cheese (the crumbly type) - 4 oz
Fresh Basil - chopped finely - 1 tsp
Fresh Oregano - chopped finely - 1 tsp
Fresh thyme - chopped finely - 1 tsp
Extra virgin olive oil - 1 tbsp
Freshly ground pepper - to taste
(You may scale up, change the amounts of the ingredients according to your taste, etc.)

Mix all ingredients to a spread-like consistency and keep for at least 3 hours at room temperature for the herbs to infuse into the cheese. Cut the bread right before serving. I cut the bread at an angle, and around 1/2 inch thick.

you should bring my special punch! its awesome. i will finally let out my secret! ok. its actually quite simple! ingrediance:
1 can of frozen fruit punch
2 litters of 7up or ginger ale
1 lemon cut into thin slices
1 orange cut into thin slices

mix the fruit punch and the pop up in a big punch bowl. add the lemons and oranges on top so they float for presentation!

its delicious!

summer sausage and cheese tray with crackers. Everyone is selling them this time of the year.

want to totally impress them!!
cubed cooked white chicken (you can used canned, just drain it)
Veg-all, a couple of cans drained
chopped lettuce
best foods mayo
season salt, garlic and onion powder, and pepper
mix it all up- will look like chicken salad
take tostada shells and taco sauce
everybody makes their own- it tastes awesome
called tostadas de pollo!!

why not brushetta? it's easy and cheap.. you can make it or buy it...
the way that i do it... I buy italian bread an i thinly slice it, i bake it for a few minutes with EVOO and garlic
then in the middle of the dish I make brushetta: chopped up ripe vine tomatoes, chopped up basil, cubed soft mozarella mixed with evoo and balsamic vinegar....
very gourmet...

I'm bringing meat balls and punch to our work party

Meatballs- mix one can jellied cranberry sauce adn one jar chili sauce on crock pot and add one bag frozen meatballs, stir to coat and warm up. you can keep the frozen meatballs in the fridge for a day or so to thaw out to speed up cooking time in the crock pot

taco dip is always a crowd pleaser too
mix 2 pkgs softened cream cheese and one small container sour cream and 1-2 pkgs taco seasoning in bowl- spread onto cookie sheet or bigger serving tray
top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped black olives and chopped green onion- serve with good tortilla chips! (always the first to go at my parties!)
