First you should pick a theme for your party. For example a luau or something. If you want something casual, I suggest an in-door picnic. Tell your guests to dress according to the theme. Your choice of theme will help you to decide the type of food and decorations. Go to www.orientaltrading.com. There are a few ideas for party themes there, along with cheap decorations. Also, you should have people bring side-dishes with them. You should provide a main course like roast beef or baked chicken. If you are doing an in-door picnic theme, fried chicken from the grocery or a KFC will be very appropriate. Of course you should provide a few sides as well as a few drinks just to make sure you do not run out of food for the guests. On the invite you can put on them to please bring a side-dish and a drink.
I hope you have a great sweet 16!
have a back yard bbq with friends and familey!!!
You shouldn't ask your guests to bring food, that's very rude. It's your party, you invited them, so you feed them. There's also not a lot you can do inside, although cramming all the people in your house might make for a fun game.
Good music is the key to a good party.
I don't think asking people to bring food is a bad idea. Sometimes it's nice to feel needed to a party. I've been to a few house warming parties that they asked everyone to bring something to eat or drink. Doesn't mean I brought something every time.
Have a few games and prizes to make things interesting. Games could be like timed hula hoop. Who knows the most about you trivia. Most words made up outta "Happy Birthday ______!" Prizes could be things like picture frames, key chains, candy.
Anytime you are surrounded by friends you are sure to have a good time.
go to www.eventphotocards.com
spent the day sleigh riding and playing in the snow, and get very cold, and invite all the people back for a hot hot meal, have your mom make a big pot of soup and have a big cake , after wards with lots of hot choclate and whipped cream, there are some cheap meals you can make,
no- do not ask your guests to bring food to your party- that is rude. you can still make inexpensive appetizers like- chips/dip, veggies and dip, deviled eggs, pizza cut into small appetizer sized pieces, finger sandwiches (just make regular sandwiches and cut into 1/4 pieces with a toothpick with some olives on them to make it look a bit fancier), tortilla roll ups (1 pkg cream cheese mixed with pkg hidden valley ranch (powdered kind) southwest flavor, 1 can chopped black olives, 1 can chopped green chillies- spread on tortillas, chill in fridge till harder and easier to slice, then just slice into 1 inch thick pieces and have salsa on the side to dip in), hot dogs cut into 3 pieces each wrapped with croissant dough maybe a little mustard spread on the inside of the dough- bake as directed for a few more minutes till brown, taco sip is always good
then just get some generic soda in two liters, some ice
just hang with friends and listen to good music, maybe play some board games or video games.
you could make it some kind of theme so your guests have to dress up- maybe a hippy theme for the jeans, or pajama party!
Order pizzas, buy some chips, dips and nachos, have canned soda in a cooler.
i say you should order pizza have bowls w/some chips and salsa and other dips w/that and Pop and water or get some punch.
but no dont ask them to bring food...it would be rude and its your party to provide things.
good luck.
