New Years party ideas at a bar?!

Question: My sister just bought a bar and their "grand reopening" party is going to be on New Years Eve. What are some good ideas to have? They are doing the favors, champagne at 12, balloon drop, and will have a dj and all that. But is there anything else they can do? They are trying to find a way to get breaskfast catered in at midnight....but can't find anyone. We are in Greenville, SC by the way. They don't have a full kitchen so can't cook. But do you have any ideas of ways to make the party a hit?

you need to advertise! i live in greenville, sc and have been searching the internet all morning for something to do on new years eve that doesn't cost $100 a person!!! what bar did your sister buy? and has she advertised the event anywhere??

Chili Vodka drinking.... Get people a little tipsy, and break some home made or store bought chili vodka out, and some shot glasses, and ask who has balls... Worth while i tell ya.

buy ready-made food from a caterer early in the day - put it in the fridge. Then microwave it - ask the caterer to make food that will still taste great once it's microwaved.

We are going to bbq at our new years party. Being that it's in the middle of the winter and we are in northern MN it will make for a unique party. We are doing shish ka bobs.

you can't forget the 12 grapes at midnight (Cuban Tradition) you make a wish for each one

Here is a very good drink that may help and maybe you just have finger foods that night.

Cosmopolitan Martini

1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz Vodka
Juice of 1/2 Lime
1 splash Cranberry juice
Mixing instructions:
Pour all ingredients in mixing glass half filled with ice, shake and strain into chilled Martini glass
