NEW YEARS EVE PARTY....need theme ideas??? HELP!?!

Question: Im planning a New Years Eve Party and i need some easy, affordable and interesting ideas that i could use for a theme. The party will be at home, and is for families who have kids. There will be around 20 or so people coming. Any themes are welcome, but i need something interesting that will keep everyone amused. Thanks!!

a masquerade theme would be awsome. and fun.
kidsl ove to wear mask as do adults. they can dress up and wear costume jewelry. how fun.
or you can always go traditional mardi gras (not reccommended with kids)
or pick a theme like racing or football or black and white. thats always a hit with family events. good luck.

Pirate Theme. You can hide treasure for the kids. There is alot you could do.
