Snickerdoodles and sugar cookies are my fav! So you want something more unique? What about some pie? Or maybe you could try some carmel pull-a-parts (you will need: Pillsbury dough/biscuits, brown sugar, sugar, egg, and some milk).

TOFFEE BARS WITH FUDGE FROSTING

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together sugar, 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in flour. Pat into ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. (I need to wet the spoon.) Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
In heavy saucepan cook and stir sweetened condensed milk, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1/4 teaspoon salt over low heat until butter melts. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes. (Mixture will thicken and become smooth.) Stir in vanilla.

Spread over baked layer. Bake at 350 degrees until golden, 12-15 minutes. Spread warm cookies with Fudge Frosting. While cookies are warm, cut into bars and remove from pan. Makes 48.

FUDGE FROSTING:

1 oz. sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. hot water (approximately)

In a small saucepan melt one 1-ounce square unsweetened chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter over low hat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in 1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Blend in hot water to make frosting of almost pourable consistency.

How about cinnamon bread sticks. Use the cinnamon Pillsbury rolls If your supermarket has the sticks, better for you but if they don't cut the round ones in half and roll out to a twisty stick and back. Take the creme and mix it with a lil cream cheese and sugar..they love it!

Something fun and festive to make and tastes really good too is chocolate covered pretzels. Get a big bag of pretzels, bakers chocolate (in the baking section) get chocolate and white chocolate. Also get some green and red sprinkles ( the sugary shiny ones are festive and tasty) or any sprinkles that you like. And some wax paper. Melt chocolate according to directions. Dip pretzels in chocolate ( I like to use tweezers for this....clean or new of course) add the sprinkles all over and place on wax paper and let dry. You can make them all different-drizzling the white choc over the milk choc or vice versa, sprinkles half and half, or mix red/green sprinkles onto white chocolate, etc. The decoration is endless, very pretty, and easy. It's a little messy but it's really fun. When my son was 5 we did it together and he took some to school and I took some to work...the guys especially liked them. Put em on a cute christmas plate or bowl (you can get plastic ones in the seasonal section like at walmart). Or you can grab five or six or how ever many and put them on a square of saran wrap, pull the wrap up and tie with curling ribbon, curl with scissors--they're like little chrismas gifts-really cute-this is what I did. Wah Lah they'll be gone before you know it. It's really easy.

can't go wrong with cupcakes
