yea @ my g'ma's house

im having a christmas party

No. We never have a big Christmas dinner because my daddy's a vegatarian.

we always have the usual meat and veg and stuff like that so this year we're going to an indian buffet with a group of people. it will be different and less boring and traditional. every1 else should try something new.

We ended up with 38 for Thanksgiving... Looks like the same people coming for Christmas Eve Dinner... But instead of the traditional fare, we are going to have TexMex food this time. (Thanksgiving we had two 22lb turkeys, ham and two whole tables of food.)

Merry Christmas from Texas!!!!!!

My mom is making a prime rib roast from the recipe that's on the cover of Gourmet Magazine. I think the guy whose recipe it is was the runner-up in The Next Iron Chef. She does the same kind of cooking every year, and has the huge roast specially ordered and does those complicated recipes every year. Even for Thanksgiving she goes all out and does those fancy recipes, every year.

Yes we are.Pretty much the same menu as you except we're having turnip instead of the sweet potato casserole and our desserts are pumpkin pie, cherry pie and lots of squares, cookies etc.
Serving 18.

Merry Christmas from London,Ontario,Canada.
All the best in the New Year.

Your food sounds fabulous! There are only two of us, so prime rib, baked potato & salad or a green veggie. For dessert we have 2lbs of Fannie May chocolates.

As usual, it'll be me and the missus and the two cats sat around the table absolutely stuffing ourselves with everything imaginable until we all fall asleep in a pile on the sofa.

Not a huge gathering, but here's the menu:

Appetizers
Baked ham
Asiago Scalloped Potatos
Fresh green beans with bacon and onion
Hot rolls
Jenny's Christmas Pie
Red Velvet Cake

Appetizers include:

Portabella Jack cheese, Cambozola, Brie, artisan crackers
Giant shrimp with cocktail sauce
Deviled eggs with curry

Then there's the wine:

Pinot Grigio
Merlot
Sangeovese
Sauvignon Blanc
Champagne

And coffee with:

Kahlua
Baily's
Brandy

Not having a big Christmas dinner the old fashioned way. We have the time for ourselves instead of the kitchen, we have Banquet Turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy one.

You forgot the mashed potatoes(from scratch) & gravy! (If you don't like that do a Scalloped Potatoes w Ham?

How about you add something not so Same0Same0?
Instead of corn, have sauted green beans,

and leave out the green bean casserole and Have a Cottage Cheese fruit salad

wow. my family was like going to have the same stuff you are going to have like the dressing, green bean casserole, ham ,mac and cheese, and i think that's all but now we are just trying to have like chilli dogs or pizza.
