Frozen mango cocktails with vodka?!
I happen to live in mango capital of the world, FNQLD Australia, And this christmas I want to be sippin on some lovely frozen mango cocktail by the poolside, My choice of alcohol it usually Vodka.
I have already preped the mangos and are in the freezer, does any one have any ideas on how I could make a cocktail with the frozen mango pref with vodka and maybe little bit of another fruit juice to make it go further although I have heaps of mangos,
any ideas,
and whats the best way to crush Ice to store in the freezer for later use?

Frozen drinks made with Vodka are called Chi Chi's.
Prepare the same way you would your favorite margarita or daiquiri. For instant crushed ice cubes, just fill your ice cube trays with hot water. The hotter the better. When you twist them to come out, they will shatter... instant crushed ice.
This is a good one....

frozen mango martini - I've made these and they're great
This Martini from Red Light is blended with ice, which makes it similar in texture to a daiquiri. The bartender garnishes it with skewered berries for a nice touch.
Servings:
Makes 4.
Ingredients1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 1 1/4-inch-long piece fresh ginger (about 1 inch in diameter), sliced
2 medium mangoes, peeled, pitted
1/2 cup vodka
20 ice cubes
PreparationCombine sugar, 1/2 cup water and ginger in heavy small saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover; let steep 1 hour. Strain ginger syrup. Cool. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover; chill.)
Puree mangoes in blender. Pour into measuring cup. Return 3/4 cup puree to blender (reserve any remaining puree for another use). Add 1/2 cup ginger syrup (reserve any remaining syrup for another use), vodka and ice cubes to mango puree in blender. Blend until smooth.
I also don't think crushed ice would store well without it freezing into one huge lump.
You can substitute the Bacardi with Vodka in this recipe, and also, you can use pineapple juice rather than the mango liqueur if you prefer
Frozen Mango Daiquiri
You need:
50ml Bacardi
50ml Mango Liqueur
30ml Lime Juice
1 Mango - peeled and pipped and chopped finely
Cup of crushed ice
Serving suggestions:
Pour ingredients into a blender and blend for a short time. Serve in tall glass.
