Hour'derv's are the best. Bring a fruit or vegetable tray or some canapes.
Anything with rum in it.Or just bring 5 bottles of rum.Can I come?
Hors d'oeuvres are the best, something easy to nibble on. I usually make cocktail meatballs. Just throw a bag of frozen meatballs (2 bags if they are small) into a crock pot along with 3/4 of a 32oz jar of grape jelly and 2 bottles of cocktail sauce. Cook on low for around 6 hours. They are even better if you start the night before and then reheat in the crock pot the day of the party.
small bites are good. That way if you feel ambitious you can make a couple different kinds to take to the party, there are some super simple meatball recipes and a spinach bread bowl dip. Taking those would give some variety to the party and you could show off your cooking skills :)

Bagel Dip
Use 1 pkg. of cream cheese
1 jar old english cheddar from Kraft
1 chopped green onion
Mix ingredients and let chill place in dipping bowl and set on platter. Surround the dipping bowl by broken pieces of bagels. I use all kinds of breads not just bagels. But bread has to be hard enough to dip into cheese mixture. It keeps fresh all nite and it taste good. Always make a double batch!
