How many of you are entertaining at home on New Year's Eve?!

Question: If so, how many people and what will you be serving?

I'm having two couples (plus myself and my fiance). And I will be serving lobster, steak, garlic potatoes and a salad with strawberries, walnuts and gorganzola cheese, along with homemade bread.

Wine, cheese and champagne too!

lets see, i have a family of 5, then my neighbor's family of 4 then my best friends family of 4 and then my other friends family of four and finally my cousin's family of 5 so a total of 22 people

we're serving chicken, pasta, teriyaki rice, salad, and then cheese cake, chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert

can I come over too?!? yummy!

Wow! A very elaborate meal but it does sound fantastic! I'd love an invitation too :-)

In my house, we tend to do a lot of finger foods, hot & cold appetizers, chips & dip, cheese & crackers for New Year's Eve. Actually, we've been doing New Year's Eve like this for several years-long before we had our son. We invite friends over, throw in a few movies, or play some board games. None of us are heavy drinkers at all, but we enjoy some wine or beer. Sparkling grape juice for the minors! Now that we have a kid, and so do our friends, it's more family-friendy and very informal. I might throw on a video upstairs and let the kids have their own little party. I might even pitch the tent upstairs too!

Happy New Year's to you :-)

We'll be staying at home, just the two of us. I'll probably make Hoppin' John (although I think that's for New Years Day, but who cares?) and a mixed field green salad with balsamic vinaigrette, candied pecans, and feta. I'll be really lucky if my hubby makes it to midnight, he works a LOT.

It′s estimated for about 15 to 20 people including kids.. mainly family and a few friends and then some neighbors will probably just come over to say hi, hello, happy new year in advance and then stay over.. so at final count it will be about 30 people give or take... and we will be serving a variety of Mexican food like menudo, pozole and beef head tacos, with all the fixings, allot of snacks like deviled eggs, chips and dip, cheese cake, fruit salad, the basic drinks are just sodas, punch, vodka, tequila, brandy, rum, wine and champagne for midnight...
Some balloons, streamers and fireworks and some dance and upbeat music playing all night long...
This happens every year at my house... Walk-ins welcome..!!!

happy 2008..!!!

all our freinds and familys are welcome to come for our new years feast. this year it is going to be a game feast. deer, squirrel, rabbit, goat nuts. rocky moutain oysters, turtle soup. some kind of bird im sure,, my self and a few others are going to have boiled shrimp., as you can read our freinds and family are hunters. next year it will be prim rib and shrimp..happy new years
