How to serve stir-fry at a dinner party?!

Question: Any ideas how to serve a stir-fry for a dinner party? It seems like food that shouldn't be cooked ahead of time, nor presented in a serving platter on the table (rather individual bowls). How has anyone else done this?
Thanks!

Serve it from a large bowl, with the rice in a separate bowl. This is a dish where you will definitely have to excuse yourself while you finish cooking it-it should be served right off the stove-but you can cook the meat ahead of time and just add it back to warm at the end of cooking and everything cooks quickly anyway.
If the party is not a large or formal one, you could start the evening in the kitchen while you prepare the food (or your friends could even help) and then move into the dining area to eat.

stir-fry is asian, in asia they usually place a larger plate in the middle with the food and everyone takes from there and places it on their plate. in china its only a spoon-ful until everyone gets a serving. i love stir-fry...i mean if its cooked good and tastes good.

I think it would be alright to cook it ahead of time. Perhaps you would like to reheat it at the party. I say serve it in a large bowl, but put a big spoon or something with it. People can just spoon it onto their bowls/plates (Kind of like Shepherd's pie)
