What kind of party theme would work for a New Years Eve party?!

How about a James Bond theme - The guys dress like Mr Bond or other people from the bond world and the ladies dress up really sexy just like the real bond girls. You can have cocktails (martinis of course!) and canapes. As for decorations maybe you could park an Aston Martin in your driveway...... or if your on a tighter budget place some form of gambling tables around ,maybe a roulette wheel or poker table and use monopoly money to get a casino feel going. You can get some more inspiration by looking at some of the bond films. Hope you have a great New Years party whatever theme you choose! :-)
Last year my friends had a 80's party.They had everyone come in 80's attire and decorated their garage with posters and played 80'smusic all night. This years theme is PARTY NAKED. Not much decoration this year
My party theme will be Chinese New Year. We will serve Chinese take out furtune cookies and such. We will eat with chop sticks too! Everyone is to wear Mandarin style pajamas and slippers. Since it will be a slumber party in order to lessen the number of drivers on the road that night. My place will have lanterns and dragons here and there. Of course, lots of pillows to sit on the floor and eat. I am getting the decorations at a party supply store. Happy New Year!
Mardi Gras is always fun for New Years. Another different but fun theme would be a trailer trash party.
