okay well you need to figure out the w
who what where when and why
you have the why

you need to get invitations out
download (if u dont have) microsoft office or publisher and go into party planning and you that to help you

you could get a couple friends to help you to

you need to figure out what you will do....is it just a hang around and talk or is it bowling, are there games or what are you going to do

you need to figure out food, is it a meal or just apetizers, drinks, or nothing

then you need to look through cookbooks or post a new quesiton on Y!A or online search different types of food to serve that would be cheap and easy to make

DONT GET STRESSED! if u r stressed it just makes everything that much harder

GOOD LUCK!
and i hink it is great you are willing to help charity

make a food list
place to have the party
people to invent
tell what the charity for
games if you like

It all really depends on two main things. What kind of party are you looking for? A social party with drinking/games/dancing? And two, is it going to be a large party or a gathering at a particular destination?

The size will also help to invoke a theme. For a larger one, a social party would be best, for charity reasons; mixed drinks, beers, cocktail appetizers, chips/salsa, etc. A smaller one can be similar to the previous, but scaled down a bit as far as quantity of food and drink.

Make a check list to help you decide what kind of party you want. You already have the theme, in that it's a Charity Party.
Here's an example to help you out:

What kind of party do I want?
A.) a social
B.) a hardcore party
C.) a formal

What kind of food do I want?
A.) finger foods
B.) buffet style foods
C.) a sit-down dinner

What kind of decorations do I want?
A.) fun and colorful
B.) black and white
C.) themed

What kind of music do I want? (if any)
*whatever music you like and you think your guests will like

What kind of food do I like?
*use this as a key to helping you make foods you're comfortable with, unless obtaining help from friends/relatives/etc.

Are the donations going to be at a set limit/price? or is it more on a voluntary level?

These are just a few things to help kick start your party. I'm sure it will be great and remember to have fun. It's for a good cause and as long as you keep that in mind, that's all that matter!

first, find a place to have the party. deciding what you'll do at the party will help you find a place, will you bowl or skate, or maybe dance, or will it be a formal party. then choose an appropriate location in your community.

then send out invitations a good amount of time before the party - i.e. a month. make sure the invites contain info on when, where, and most importantly, why!! let the people know about the charity - what it is, who it benefits, what it does, etc. give them a website or a brochure and make sure the invite tells them why they should give to the particular charity that you have chosen!!

then pick a catering service, and hack out a price, or buy food at place like Sam's club. or depending on where you have the party, will food be served there??

then decide how you'll raise the money. will it be a profit of the entrance fee, will it be a good-will donation, will people bid on baskets or prizes, if they have food there, will you get part of that profit, or will you get part of the overall profit??

most importantly, give yourself a break!! relax!! get a good crew of friends to help you out, and chill. don't stress yourself out, it won't help you!! lol! take time, you don't have to do this tomorrow. good luck!!!
