Thats just a bad dog, If its still a puppy then you just have to train it harder.

when he climbs up - take him down immediately and say down - as for when he goes out - and does his biz are you 'praising him' and giving him a treat? they learn by repetition you need to keep the commands the same for each too - ie: down from the sofa shouldn't be used for sitting down either - just use sit - or any other words - just one each for each command..he's a puppy so be patient. YOU're the bad trainer - the puppy isn't bad - they don't know better (kinda like a baby). But you can do it! just keep at it and train & reward. Don't hit - they don't understand discipline
