we do chili or rotel, also, we do these mini pizzas on this frozen dough, put some olive oil on the bread and squeeze a grape tomato or 3 ontop and sprinkle with goat cheese add fresh spinach and italian seasonings.
a seafood dip on a crostini is good and so are little mini hot ham and cheese sandwichs with fontina or butterkase cheese

As a tadition are family makes this delicious punch every new years. Its lemon-lime( or any favor you want, but lemon-lime taste the best!) kool-aid, 2 packs, a 12oz of pineapple juice, 2 cups of sugar, and 6 cups of water. Mix them all together in a container with a lid. Then put it into the freezer for about 1 day or over night. Take it out and scoop the slush into glasses, then pour 7up in to the glasses also.
Turns out people will be helping themsevles to more!

When I used to have New Year's parties I used to buy deli trays and make two soups, usually a chili and a vegetable soup. But my favorites were always the homemade cookies friends would bring. Good friends, some soup, a sandwich, some chips and cookie--a good way to start a year.
