Ideas For A Sweet 16 Birthday Party.?!

Question: Okay, so I'm throwing a birthday party for myself in two weekends. But since I'm turning 16, I want the party to be one to remember. But I can't spend very much money on it at all.
I also want it to be a party that both boys and girls would enjoy. So no shopping party or pink themed. You get what I'm saying. Anyways, does anyone have any ideas what I could do?
If you know of anything, I'd really appreciate your response.
--Thank you.

I am also throwing a sweet 16 party for myself, here in a few weeks...and I also have a budget so i thought id just share with you of what i am planning on doing, hopefully it will help you out some, cause i know how stressful it can be, since im in the same situation too. But, right now, I am just having a whole bunch of friends come over to my dads house(boys and girls)... we will have food and drinks set out and of course the cake and that. And basically we are all just going to hangout and we will have the music going and that.. play some games and im kinda thinking im going to rent some scary movies...that always fun. and the food, im just having like snack/finger foods... nothing to big. hopefully this helps you.

rent a bar and hire a band

a rockstar theme, candy theme

try a las vegas gambling theme. you can do it @ home like set up card tables and have other peoples parents be the dealers and such. you can hand out prizes instead of money and both girls and guys will like it!

Stripper, chains, whips and handcuffs.

music / barbecue / plenty drinks === perfect

get a good dj, a bottle for spin the bottle, some good games, good food, and invite me

rent a bar
-mardi grais theme**
-cops and robberss(bad and good)
-70's

get a DJ and a big place for dancing, buy a lot of food at smart and finals, have the dress code however you want and just go crazy!! it should be fun! or you could all go to the mall or rent a limo or go watch movies or something like that!

Ok so since you're on a budget then just think of something simple. Try just decking out your house and having a bunch of food and music then invite a ton of people over and chill. If there's music then there's always something to do cuz everyone can dance! happy 16th ! ;)

Since you don't have much money to spend you can start off by going to the Dollar Tree(everything's a dollar) to get all the small stuff that you don't need to be spending much money on like table covers and votives, forks, plates...spend $$ on things that matter like pictures and dress!!

A theme could the 50's or 60's classy styles with the hair and dress.

Well my best friend threw a party for our close friends which were boys and girls. Was about 30 people in the limo. She hired a limo and we went all around London with our heads sticking out of the windows waving to people going past. Was sooo much fun. We had loud music and lots of food and drink. Wasn't too expensive though in the end. No themes involved. Only upto £100 but that was mostly the limo. Hope this helped.

Well, you can try
-turning out the lights and hanging up white Christmas lights so they might look like stars.
-if you have any friends that are in/know a "garage-stage" band, ask them to play at the party

I can't think of any more, but you can try getting more ideas with the two I gave you :)

It isn't what you buy to throw a party with, it is who you invite and what happens at the party to make it memorable. Rent a hall, have some music and/or Karaoke, put out some drinks and food and invite all your best friends. Just being with them will make it a party to remember.

Have a "casino party". Set up card tables and make casino "tables" out of felt or cardboard. Ask some older friends or your parents to be the dealers. Have chips (can get at target) and then play casino card games. The winner at the end of the night (most chips) can win a prize. I did this for my 13th birthday and it was soooo much fun! Have a family member come around like the cocktail waitress asking if anyone wants a soda, etc...
