Baked Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Artichoke Dip, Crackers and Cheese, we Americans like alot of food. Chicken is good too. Salmon, Roast Beef...etc, etc,

beer

We always do a fondu dinner for New Year's Eve. We heat up oil and cook our own meat and potatoes in it, and then supply a variety of sauces to dip the meat (beef, chicken and shrimp) in. Dinner takes hours - it's a lot of fun!

mickey d's

Boneless hot wings with buffalo sauce and bleu cheese dressing. A veggie tray with celery, pickles, carrots, olives, cucumbers, develed eggs etc. with a sour cream ranch dip.

Those are just 2 ideas hope it helps

Americans like an English style roast served with homemade gravy and mashed potatoes.

yea a good pot roast would be great

Shrimp, Steak, Wine and a good good
friend....
Happy New Year....

Finger food like Chicken strips, mini pizzas and mini hamburgers, egg rolls. fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, pineapple), cheese and crackers. Sparkling cider makes a great drink because it's delicious and no one gets intoxicated.

My family will start the New Year out on a healthy note. We will be having baked Honey Mustard Salmon, Baked Potato, and Garlic Spinach. Of coarse it will be accompanied by a glass of wine.

In the area where I live (Midwestern US) a lot of people have pork and sauerkraut. I have a big jar of homemade sauerkraut( a gift from a generous friend) for tonight that I'm cooking with a slab of pork ribs. The first bite of food in the New Year has to be this dish for good luck in my house. Southern people eat Hoppin' John- a black eyed peas dish usually with rice for good luck.
