Can I freeze orange slices to use as ice cubes in my punch bowl?!

Question: It works and they are a lovely garnish, but you might want to cut the slices about 1/2 to 3/4 thick so they stay cold longer...

and have extra slices in the freezer to replace those that are eaten or thawed ...

You could also reserve some of the punch and pour it into a few ice trays ... this way the punch won't get watered down as the ice melts!

FYI ... you can freeze Coffee this way too, use it to cool off your morning coffee to a drinkable temperature!

I don't see why not. Try freezing other fruit as well, to provide color. You can also freeze punch in a ring mold and float it in the bowl. Good luck!

Yes you can! Though sooner or later the oranges will defrost, and then they will not be chilling your punch for very long.

yes you can also try freezing lemons, lime and mango slices they add a whole new flavour to the punch

I make a ice ring from a jello mold or bunt pan, maybe freeze some orange slices in that for a pretty look. or you can just float the orange slices without freezing them, they really won't stay frozen very long anyway- or you could freeze little chunks of oranges in ice cube trays with water.

yes,you can. it will keep your drink cool, plus make your bowl look attractive.

Yes, most any fruit will freeze well in ice, except banannas.

yes

oh yeah. that is a great idea. they are healthy and give a good color to the punch.

you can freeze pinneaple cubes in water in the ice tray. that is extra fun, and gives it flavor too.
