I don't think it would be out of line to require a full PowerPoint presentation with itemized and bulleted reasons for your greatness. There must be full graphics and maybe a video, no longer than twenty minutes, describing how you are the best and your dinner parties rule. Completely reasonable requirements, I assure you.
Length, in your case, is not a requirement. And that is lucky for you ;)
thats a cool idea. i don't think it matters your feeding them so they should butter your ego a little.

I think it would only be appropriate if you had them record it before hand so they can get the subliminal message stuck in their head before they recite it to you.
Unless they are paid up member of your Fan Club, then, yes, it is, of course, completely inappropriate.
If they are people who you are very close to then fine go ahead and ask them.

Written in Haiku. Followed by a sentence featuring onomatopoeia.....just because I love words that sound like noise.
Maybe your guests along with yourself could write a short 'essay' about each other...Have a 'grab bag' of names and pull out names and assign them. Each guest has to write an essay or funny things about that person...only things that would be appropriate for each guest to feel good after wards...keep it light!
Ha! I am way ahead of the game here. I already have my essay detailing and extolling your supreme greatness all made out and ready to go. The only thing is, it was so long I had to put it onto a CD because of its extreme length. But since the guests will be anxious to read theirs too, I will give you the CD to listen to at your leisure. I have taken every 5th word from the CD and written that down on paper to read, much shorter. Here are the first 2 sentences of the condensed version:
