What would be a good theme for a 25th birthday party??!

Question: I am a recent graduate and I am making 25 in October. I am a female and I wanted something kinda sexy. I am planning a budjet of about 2000 dollars. I want to invite family and friends which would be about 150+ people. The food won't be a major problem, but I want a very unique theme I can pull off on a budjet. I was thinking like martini theme and have a cocktail party. I just want it to be grown, sexy, and cute!! I was a debutante but I feel my 25th birthday will be my full official debut in to womanhood. I want it to be all about me! Purple is my favorite color, but I don't want a purple party like barney.

Make it a masquerade ball and have invitations printed or just make them yourself and for each person you invite give them a blank mask and have them decorated... Something like mardigras party but in the color scheme you like (purple maybe.. and other colors). The food can be a buffet style, you can have a specialty drink open bar and make it a little dressy...
So it will be fun (masks), elegant (by making it dressy), sexy (the mystery of who′s behind the mask) and family oriented (when everyone reveals them selves.

Have fun!!!

your budget seems a bit small... its only about 15 dollars per person... if you want something sophisticated i suggest you have a wine and cheese tasting brunch party thing at your house, and then have a little fun after party thing... mad places sponsor parties and pay all expenses if you allow them to have a wine and cheese tasting party in your house and let them set up a stand where they can sell their product... i can't think up a company who does that off the top of my head but you may want to ask around

My friend just turned 25 and she had a spy themed party. It was great. We all dressed in black dresses, she wore a red silk dress with a fidora type hat and a feather in it. Think Bond woman spies. Guys wore suits. She had a part of a bar/restaurant give her the space, didn't have to pay for the space but for the food, and they even helped her create her own drink that tasted great in martini glasses, it was called poison or something like that. For decorations she gut some big martini glasses decorated with spy footprints and red/black and put floating candles in them. The invites said top secret on the outside and when you opened it up it was a puzzle she made, like had drawn, (you can get it copied on the puzzle pieces) and you had to put it together. Everyone had to come up with their own secret agent names and they were written down like on badges and we wore them out. She gave out like two party prizes that were in briefcases, I don't know what was inside but it was soooo cute. Just a thought for a theme. The colors cold be purple, red, and black. You can get ideas by watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Bond Movies, Austin Powers, TombRaider, Bourne movies. Anything like that for theme in decorating. It was really fun and everyone looked so awesome!
