My daughters 9th birthday is in a few weeks and we would like to have a party that is animal themed.?!
Answers: Can anyone help me by giving me a good way to ask for donations either monetary or in actual supplies for our local SPCA instead of gifts for her party.I intend on putting forth the information on her invitations.I guess I am just not quite sure on how to word it.Any ideas would be appreciated,also any other ideas that would make this party fun.THANKS
I would put it in on the invite. We did that for our daughter one year but it was for books. And we just asked instead of bringing a present could you bring a book or two and monetary donation. And the responce was great . Because at that age who knows what to get them. One minute they like one minute they dont. And as far as party ideas. May make up some fun fact cards and test their knowledge. Who ever answer the most correct they get a prize. I also put some links down that might help you with your search. good Luck
You can go to a petting zoo, or a zoo or something like that or ride horses. :O It would cost a little more for the party but would definetely but fun!
I would just add a link to the invitation with the web address and phone number of the Local SPCA. and a note that says " in liue of presents, ( your daughters name) would prefer a donation to the SPCA"

they have tons of party themes and the prices are cheap. just put the donation request on the invite. people understand...and probably glad not to have to think of a gift for the kid. everyone loves helping animals instead of giving a kid even more crap they dont need right after the holidays!
I am guessing SPCA is like an animal protective league..
well I would say only this .... Instead of birthday presents I would really be happy if you made a donation to the SPCA in my name for my birthday. Thank You
