Which party should I go for?!

Question: I'm celebrating 2 big milestones in a few years time - my 10th wedding anniversary and my 40th birthday. They are only 4 days apart - which one should I celebrate more? A joint party seems too confusing and I want to involve all my friends and family but I do not want them to think they have to buy separate gifts. Which one would you pick to celebrate the most?

Both,,,,,, they both deserve the milestones you speak of,,,,,

after all I will ask,,, did you celebrate Christmas,,,, then a week later new year ? As for your family and friends,,,,, well whats it got to do with them anyway ? Its your birthday,,,, and Your anniversary.......
Maybe the anniversary one should be just you and your partner,go on a Short break away ( 2ND honeymoon ? )
after all its YOUR 10 years together not anyone Else's,,,,,,, and the birthday one have a big party and don't forget to invite me lol

Either way your have fun........

nice bum

go for a birthday party, that way u can spend your anniversary with ur husband, and congrats on 10 wonderful years xxxx

Not sure about the joint party. You may want to have a few bongs set up for the real "hard core" pot smokers.

maybe the anniversary one as that way your hubby wont miss out on his chance to celebrate. if everyone knows you are going to be 40 then they will buy you a gift anyway. this year we have our 21st anniversary and im going to be 40 on monday Lol

I think the additional detail you just added kinda answered your question. Celebrate your 10th wedding anniversary really big and then have a joint 40th for you and your husband and celebrate really big again! Why not have it half way between your birthdays?

I think you should pick your wedding aniversary

have a big party for your wedding anniversary and a family meal for your birthday, or you could do it the other way around lol I see your problem, ask your husband what he thinks, then blame him if it doesn't work out how your planned lol

I don't see why you cannot celebrate both especially where you don't need to do something elaborate for your b day . I would make the anniversary the biggest deal .

Do two 40th birthday parties. Selfishly I'm thinking about not having to share presents if you have a 10th anniversary party! Besides that is something more private to the two of you. Perhaps you could plan a romantic evening for that.

i think ur 10th and if you still wanna selebrate ur b day then just bring a little cake and you can sing happy b day

Well to me the anniversary should be more of a personal celebration for both you and your husband. Congrats on going ten years, now-a-days most marriages don't last 10 weeks. Celebrate your 40th birthday, your still young, and will have so many more to come, but it's your day. Treat yourself and indulge.

I would do something small and intimate - just the 2 of you - for your 10 year anniversary. Maybe do something extravagant for this anniversary i.e. go to a B&B in Maine (or somewhere closer depending upon where you live) for a long weekend and pull out all the stops.
For your 40th birthday - why don't the 2 of you pick a date in between the 2 birthdays and have a big blow-out party for both birthdays? This way, both have been given the special attention they deserve.

with a bum like yours id go to any!!!!

40th birthday
