Bridal Shower Games?!

Question: Ok, ladies! I need your help again! I am helping to throw a bridal shower in April, and I need some FUN bridal shower games that everyone can play. Give me some ideas, please! Oh - and feel free to throw me a few fresh appetizer/sandwich ideas too! Bridal showers are not exactly my area of expertise! lol!

My shower games were easy and fun. We played "how well do you know the bride?" They were basic questions about me and some questions about my fiance and I. (ie: what was our first date, my favorite pizza topping...yada yada) Then we played "a woman's purse." You just make a list of crazy things that women have in their purses (ie: pacifier, gas station receipts, etc) and the one with the most that you list off wins. The last one is that someone walks around w/ a basket full of home stuff. Everyone has 3 minutes to look to see what is in the basket. After the 3 minutes is up, the person w/ the basket walks out of the room. Now, everyone has 2 minutes to name off what the woman holding the basket was wearing.

I think we had a bunch of finger foods to eat. My favorite thing was my punch. It was mixed berry sherbert and ginger ale mixed together. Its delicious, you should try it.

I just attended a shower that did something really fun. It was a gift bingo. You give all of the guests a grid like a bingo card but the squares are blank. People fill in one type of gift into each box. Then when the Bride opens her gifts the guests cross off which ones they get right until someone gets bingo. It was fun and made the gift openning a bit more interesting.

I had a lot of fun playing "Dress the Bride." Split up your guests so they are in groups of 5-6, give them a bunch of rolls of (white) toilet paper & instruct them to choose a 'bride' out of the group & dress her in the tp.

(We picked the tiniest gal & won cause we remembered to add the veil & also make a bouquet. What was really nice is that they gave everyone on our team a $10 Target gift card as a prize! That was a great surprise!)

Here's a really easy appetizer: Go to Costco, buy a jar of sun-dried tomatoes. Put cream cheese on your choice of bread (I use health-foody whole grain bread), then cut into squares & put one tomato on each square. Delicious & nutritious!

Good luck!

You can also give each person pad and pencil and see how many names can be made from the bride and groom's names. The person with the most (real) names wins a small prize!

When I played it we had to decide whether we would accept foreign names or not. We all agreed it was fair; but they had to be recognised ones.

Another game is like Jumbles. The hostess will need to make a list of several words associated with weddings such as husband, wife, marriage, bridesmaid, groom, bride or honeymoon. Scramble the letters in the words and write them down on a sheet of paper, this will be the game sheet and you will need one copy per guest. Make sure to provide everyone with one. Give the guests 3 minutes to unscramble the words. The guest to finish first with the most correct answers wins the game and the Bridal Shower Prize!

I found one online that I though was funny, a couple years ago.

Get a tray and put a bunch of misc. bridal items on it. Hand out pen & paper to all the guests. Tell the guests it's a memory game and they have to try and memorize as many items as they can.

Have a girl walk the tray around the room for a couple of minutes. Tell the girl to go into one of the bedrooms.

Next you will ask the guests about the girl holding the tray. Nothing about the items on the tray. (that's the funny part)

Was her hair curly or straight?
What color were her shoes?
Was she wearing mascara?
Did her shirt have buttons on the front?
Did she have braces?

Stuff like that!

have fun!
