What is a banquet dinner?!
It is normally a fixed menu of either chicken or beef with 3 vegetables.
There will be bread rolls & butter & salt & pepper on the table.
There maybe an anti pasta of seafood or a little pasta.
Could be a soup bowl.
There will be a salad and probably white & red wine on the table or perhaps served by the waiter.
There will be a nice dessert and coffee or tea.
I've not yet seen a buffet banquet dinner. I'm sure it happens though. (probably not often as speakers like you to be sitting down when they speak)
You can refuse a serving if you don't want it i.e. the anti pasta
or perhaps the soup or maybe even the dessert.

A banquet is where you know there's going to be so many courses of food and by the end of the night, you will need to untie your trousers to let your stomach loose otherwise you will explode.

It's a cheap TV dinner...most common chicken ,mashed potatos..peas/carrots. Damn someone eating fine tonight. At a Hugh banquet dinner..lots of people eating TV dinners..fish.mexican, meatloaf,Salisbury steak...and of course chicken.
