What do you love about your bartender?!
Answers: I just started bartending at a beer & wine bar. I feel like i'm doing really good so far but I'd love to hear how can improve on some people skills by asking what your bartender does that sticks out to you the most.
you dont want to be overly friendly, some people just want to enjoy there drink alone, others like me enjoy having a drink with some interaction from the bartender. For the ones you start to talk to try to catch there names and remebe what they like to drink. So next time they come in you can great them with there name ask if they would like a Jack & coke(or whatever there usual is,name it though) or something new today

i am my own bartender and i pour stiff ones.
he remembers me and gives me special treatment (that doesn't always mean freebies). when the bar is busy he'll still get to me quickly.
I used to be a Bartender too & my clients used to like for me to make a "Drink-Of-The-Day". I would just randomly pick a drink & make it "The Special".
She makes great frozen drinks- not too strong, not too weak.
He's my neighbor, his wife and I are good friends, our puppies are lesbian lovers and he gives me top shelf liquor for less than half the regular price when I come in to his bar with my fiancee.. Plus he makes up crazy concoctions that taste awesome and gives us free shots just for coming in..
Helping their bar guests before filling well drinks. Pouring stiff ones. Always remembering my name as well as my boyfriends. Giving suggestions when appropriate of things we'd enjoy. Being personable and genuine.
These things will help you go far. Most bartenders we enjoy dont get less than 30%
I love when they remember me!! Or when they take the time to get to know me.
always make eye contact....don't skimp on the liquor, like making weak drinks, i just hate that.......good luck you should do fine
