How do I plan a party for a 10 year old girl?!

Question: I'm trying to plan a party for my 10 year old daughter. I need some ideas of something different to do. It's going to be a suprise so I'm on my own. Any neat ideas (themes, places to have a party)? I don't have a lot of money so cost is an issue as well.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

spa party- you can do this at home
jewelry making party- at home
pottery party- at a pottery place
take them all to a dance class
roller skating / ice skating
bowling
party at the mall- maybe get makeup done someplace?
take them to a play or the movies
do a fun craft at home http://familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts/
fancy tea party- have all the guests dress up in their fanciest dress
by us we have this really cool pet store that does parties and shows off the animals and lets you play with and pet them
maybe a trip to the humane society? fun to see the animals and learn about them and how to help them

party at the house is your most cost effective option- it really depends on how much you want to spend.

well, back when i was 10, im now 14, i remeber 10 year olds like to have parties with thier friends, maybe a skating party? if your daughter doesnt skate, maybe a pool party? if she doesnt swim.... well idk, take her to chuck e cheeses. lol but you should deffinatly do something thats age oriented, u wouldnt want like a regular house party for a 10 year old, its just wouldnt be fun :]

well im not sure if this is too little for her
but what about bonkers. its fun and you buy pizza&ice cream there i think. but it might be too expencive. if u dont know its fun for kids u go in all these tubes and play games and win sttuff. but if not then u could try having a party at your house and just have a few of her friends sleepover have a slumber party and order pizza and watch some funny or scary movies?
hope i helped.
:]

well what is your daughter really into
make a whole like theme of what she is interested in
like under the sea, jungle/rainforest (rainforest cafe),
or like have it at your house and like rent blow up bounce house it all depends on what your daughter likes

What are her likes, is it the Brat's Dora the Explorer. Sponge bob , you can make it a theme party or a Barbie Party. You can do a surprise sleepover and serve pizza and stuff, it all depends on what your daughter likes. It doesn't cost alot to make a little girl happy. Gather a few of her friends and and have a nice sleepover pizza snacks and girly movies. Step off, Harry Potter, Lord of the rings. Wish you luck!!

How about Michael's? They have craft parties there. They make a craft, you bring pizza and cake, they clean up. It's pretty fun and easy. A sleepover as was mentioned above would be fun too. Watch some movies. Maybe do a Hollywood Stars night. Hannah Montana is also popular. Look through here for more ideas.
