Have you ever had High Tea? At some place or at your house? With cucumber sandwiches and little tiny sweets?!

Question: I did at the Hotel Del a few years ago and it was so fun.

Answers: I did at the Hotel Del a few years ago and it was so fun.

Yes I have.
It's a tradition for my best friend and I to go to the Empress Hotel in Victoria British Columbia (Canada) every Spring for High Tea.
They serve the best ever scones with butter and fancy jams.
Cucumber sandwiches are the greatest too.
Hurry up Spring.

I recall as a kid that I may have been in the right place at the right time to see my parents having one.

No, I haven't but I would LOVE to!
That would be so fabulous
To have a little tea party and dress up.
I would bring crumpets.
You're so lucky!

Oh yes! I love Devonshire clotted cream! We had little sandwiches of several things and sweets. Ordered the cream from overseas the next month.

(we're in the States)

When my brother in law was confirmed, I hosted a high tea at my house for him, his parents, my parents, and my sister and the children.
I served tea, coffee, bacon, fruit plates, many kinds of breads, muffins, buns. and sticky buns.

Yes, and it does make any celebration special and memorable. I love the dill/cucumber sandwiches, and the scones, etc. However, I prefer it all with coffee...hope that doesn't offend anyone! :)

Sure. In Holland it's really becoming a custom at many restaurants on Sunday afternoons.
