What the Dickens is a really good 5 course meal for 50 people ?!

Question: Hi Folks,

Amongst other things, I seem to be in charge of organising dinners for a well known club of gentlemen.

Every month, I am stuck with the problem of what to order from the caterers.

Any brilliant ideas ?

(OK, the cheese board and booze are there)

Why ask people here? Ask the members and see what they like. Make up a simple survey page or options offered by the caterer and print out 50 copies. The effort you put into asking them will also absolve you of any responsibility if there is a complaint in the future. ("You didn't like the potted kippers with cinnamon? I'm sorry, several members indicated on the survey that they wanted to try that dish.")

By all means ask help of say one member but don't for goodness sake ask them all or you will please know one ,could be a good idea to ask caterers for suggestions.
smoked salmon
soup
chicken
lemon meringue
cheese and biscuits
coffee and choc mints
